Partnership with Little Earth Residents Association
Little Earth is a housing community in South Minneapolis that is comprised of people from 39 different Native American tribes.
Little Earth Residents Association was recently affected by a rule change within Housing and Urban Development that implemented an algorithm that made it harder for tenants to raise discrimination claims against their landlords. We want the residents of Little Earth to feel as if they are able to understand their digital rights and the digital footprint that they bring to the online world.
To help the community understand the affects of this change and give them the tools to fight back and change this rule, the IDH has created education materials for its members. With that we want them to have a basic understanding of how to make a video. They have been taught how to record on a phone, how to edit a video on Final Cut and how to present it to the online audience.
